4-Week Class | Take-Home Kit Included Discover the exciting world of printmaking! In this beginner-friendly 4-week class, young artists will learn the basics of linocut printing while creating their own unique designs from start to finish. Students will explore how to transfer a drawing, safely carve their design into a soft linocut block using kid-friendly carving tools, apply ink, and create beautiful hand-printed artwork. Along the way, they'll learn about positive and negative space, texture, pattern, and the printmaking process used by artists for generations. Each student will receive a take-home linocut kit so they can continue creating and practicing their new skills long after the class ends. In this class, students will: -Learn the fundamentals of linocut printmaking -Design and carve their own printing block -Experiment with inks, colours, and multiple prints -Create a collection of original hand-pulled prints -Build confidence using a new artistic medium Includes: -4 instructor-led classes -All studio materials -Take-home linocut starter kit (carving block, carving tool, ink, brayer, and paper) Perfect for creative kids who love drawing and are excited to try a new art form!
