Service Description

Discover the timeless skill of hand sewing in this relaxed, beginner-friendly class for all ages. Whether you want to repair your favourite clothes, learn a practical life skill, or simply enjoy sewing by hand, this class is the perfect place to start. Students will learn essential hand stitches, how to thread and knot a needle, sew on buttons, repair small tears, and create neat, durable hems for pants, skirts, dresses, and other garments. Along the way, participants will also complete a selection of small hand-sewn projects to build confidence and practice their new skills in a fun and creative way. No previous sewing experience is required. All sewing tools and materials for practice projects are provided, and participants are encouraged to bring one or two garments from home if they'd like to practice hemming on their own clothing. NOTE: Please bring an item of clothing you'd like to mend! Suitable for all ages. Children under 8 should be accompanied by an adult.
