Service Description

Get ready for Halloween by creating your very own handmade trick-or-treat bag! In this beginner-friendly sewing class, young makers will learn how to safely use a sewing machine while building confidence with basic sewing techniques. Students will choose from a variety of festive Halloween fabrics, then measure, cut, sew, and assemble a sturdy, reusable trick-or-treat bag that's perfect for collecting candy on Halloween night. Along the way, they'll learn essential sewing skills including threading a machine, sewing straight seams, pinning fabric, and adding sturdy handles. By the end of the course, each child will leave with a one-of-a-kind bag they made themselves—and the skills and confidence to tackle future sewing projects. No sewing experience is necessary, but encouraged. All materials and equipment are provided. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
