Service Description
Love art, creativity, and working with kids? Join us this summer as a Student Volunteer at our children’s art studio! Volunteers help support daily programs, assist children with art projects, prep materials, and keep our studio running smoothly. It’s a hands-on, creative experience in a fun, encouraging environment—perfect for students looking to gain experience, earn volunteer hours, and be part of a community that celebrates imagination and creativity. Summer Student Volunteer Program – What to Expect This summer, we’re approaching our Student Volunteer Program with greater structure, clear expectations, and a more professional approach. Our goal is to create a meaningful experience that reflects the responsibility of working in a children’s environment. Volunteers are expected to treat their role with the same respect as a job—no cell phones during shifts, active participation in programs, and behaviour that sets a positive example for the children who look up to them. To ensure consistency and strong team connections, students must complete 20 volunteer hours within one week. Hours will not be spread out across the summer. Students may choose to commit to two full weeks for a total of 40 hours if they wish to complete their full volunteer time. This structure allows us to better support our volunteers while giving them a focused, hands-on experience they can truly benefit from. We will hold an orientation to show further commitment to the volunteer roll and to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of what to expect during their time at Kids Art Talks.
